Saint Bernards are an easy breed to raise. They will grow
quickly and peak about 2 years of age. They will eat a lot during those first 2 years, but as they grow, their metabolisms
slow down, and they really do not require a lot of food. They are quite docile, and therefore do not have the tendency to
get bored and get into "trouble". They are content to lay around and be there for you if you want them. Saints do require
more area, as they are a big dog. Our dry mouth saints do not have the slobbery "snot" (for lack of a better word) that hangs
out of their jowls, since the jowls themselves do not hang as low as the wet mouth, and therefore are much cleaner.
